As soon as you arrive to Barcelona, it is recommendable to use public transportation to move around the city because it really offers plenty of choices and is the easiest way.

From Sunday to Thursday, it is open from 5am until midnight.
Friday night, it will close at 2am.
Saturday it is working all night long so you will not have to worry about the time.
Moreover it is really affordable, the price for a one way ticket is 1.35€ but if you will do at least 5 travels, we advise you to take the T-10 cards that costs only 7.95€.
Barcelona also has a great
bus network. But it is not the most efficient transport because of the busy traffic downtown. However it bears some charm that the metro doesn’t, by the window you could see the city and even some famous sightseeing (like Gaudi’s houses). The bus works with the same ticket system than the metro, but if you buy your ticket inside you can only get a single ticket at 1.40€
Underground train services are also provided by Renfe and Ferrocarriles Catalanes. You can benefit from the 2 lines in the city center and also 4 driving you to the suburbs. It is working from 5.45 am till midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 2.15 am on Friday and Saturday.
